Background

So where did Vlex and Vlexing come from? Vlex is a new word created by young people who have all worked with C&T through its network of schools all over the UK. You can find our more about this network at candt.org.

In a project called +Verb young people identified new things in their lives that needed new words to describe them. Other words that came up were Chil-wii-surfing, telegoofing, shlumshunning, televateing, waming, tushwoogying, googleplexing, autoflexing and wealing.

+Verb was part of the Young People's Participatory Theatre project funded by Arts Council England.
